U.S.’ Samantha Bosco Overjoyed After Winning Gold Medal
Team USA’s Samantha Bosco had plenty to say after winning gold and taking the C1-C5 women’s 500-meter time trial in 39.601 seconds at the 2019 Parapan American Games on Aug. 26 in Peru. Bosco, a former rower turned cyclist, was ecstatic.
“I cannot describe my feelings right now.” she said. “This could be the best day of my life..…don’t tell my husband. Well … top three. I am super amazed because the 500 meters wasn’t even my event. My event is the 3,000 meters. I am super stoked that I have a teammate who gets to join me on the podium. Also, I am so grateful that I got to cross 40 seconds for the first time ever.”
